The Slovak army presently owns [15 Leopards utilized 2A4](https://defence24.pl/strong-arms/slowing-receiving-another-leopards) and about 30 T-72M1 (and a certain number of them in reserve). For more than 2 decades, the second have been under consideration for their smaller or larger modernisation, but the subject has been abandoned and is planned to be withdrawn by 2030. It is simply a modest armored fleet, for comparison, the neighboring Czech Republic will shortly have 30 T-72M4 and 42 Leopardy 2A4 (and then both types will replace Leopardy 2A8).
