Polish politicians responded to the "unprecise" entry of the Israeli organization Jad Yours. The Institute published a web entry stating that "Poland was the first country where Jews were forced to wear a distinctive badge to isolate them from the surrounding population". In this communicative there was no crucial item – perpetrators.

This is not a mistake of the calibre of "Polish concentration camps", but inactive – as many commentators, including the most crucial politicians in the country recognized – may have misled without specifying that the bands with the characteristic Star of David were introduced into the territory of occupied Poland by Germans and not legitimate hosts of this territory.

It was only later in the entry that the explanation was made: "On 23 November 1939, Hans Frank, politician of the General Government, issued an order that all Jews at the age of 10 and elders had to wear a white, 10 cm wide material band on their right arm, marked with the blue Star of David."

Your venom missed an crucial detail

The entry was addressed, among others, by the head of Polish diplomacy Radosław Sikorski, who asked to add a mention in the entry of Jad Ościm, that during the described events Poland was occupied by Germany. It was only six hours after the intervention that the institute added annotation: "As many users have noted, and as clearly stated in the lynched article, this happened at the command of the German authorities."

Marek Magierowski – a erstwhile Polish ambassador to Israel – responded to the entry of Jad Yours much more decisively. “I would anticipate your venom to correct and apologize, just as each institution respects itself. Was the General Governorate Polish? Did Hans Frank [was a Pole]?” wrote the diplomat on social media.

"Poles invaded by the 3rd Reich and russian Russia helped Jews, for which they were punished with death or forced labor. The post must be corrected!” – the head of MON Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz thundered.

"The study that this happened in 'Poland', alternatively of 'in the areas incorporated into or occupied by the 3rd Reich', is misleading and diminishing Germany's work for the Holocaust," stressed Deputy Marshal Krzysztof Bosak.
