The head of the MFA Radosław Sikorski referred on the X platform to the content of the banner, which Israeli fans hung in Debreczyn during Maccabi Haifa's match with Rakowo Częstochowa. He expressed hope that Israeli youth were taught that in 1939 Nazi Germans attacked Poland and began killing its citizens of all religions and nationalities.
