KUL scandal

Ladies and gentlemen, we regret to inform you that from present you will not find us at the Catholic Book Fair in Lublin, held in the hall of the Collegium of John Paul II at the “Catholic” University of Lublin, where we had a stand. We were thrown out of the fair this morning.

We're inactive waiting for the authoritative cause. Unofficially, we were told that the reason was the publication of the book “Volyn without Myths”. The decision was handed to us by the president of the Association of Catholic Publishers, and the management of KUL sent 2 “helpers” to guarantee that we leave the university immediately. Therefore, we had to cancel the visits of Leszek Żebrowski, Piotr Plebaniak, Dr. Ewa Kurek and Dr. Leszek Pietrzak, who were to be at our stand.

For many years we have participated in the book fair, and this is the first time we met. Especially outrageous is the fact that an effort to gag lips occurred at the University, by definition, to be a forum for exchange and abrasion of thoughts. The fact that it comes to this at a university called “Catholic” and referring to the legacy of St John Paul II is simply unimaginable. In the shadow of the university, we dedicate the words of its patron: “Do not be afraid.”

The Volyn genocide is an undeniable fact, and its scale and cruelty to this day it is feared. It is not only an work to remember the victims, it is simply a necessity, even if specified a crime never happens again, and demanding a Christian burial for the unburied is Catholic. The silence of this painful subject in the name of falsely understood political correctness is worse than mistake – it is vile.

As a Capital team, we declare that we will not submit to this hateful exclusion run and proceed our mission. We are even more motivated to work and make fresh projects. We will besides proceed to work with the Community and Memory Association, whose consequence is forbidden from present on the KUL book “Volyn without Myths”.
