Singapore Airlines New Menu

The airline has strategically distributed these new menu offerings across its premium service tiers:

The enhanced Shahi Thali will serve passengers in suites and first-class cabins specifically on flights connecting Singapore (SIN) with Delhi (DEL) and Mumbai (BOM). This exclusive offering targets the airline’s highest-tier travellers on its most prominent Indian routes.

Meanwhile, the refreshed Ruchi Thali will become available to business class passengers across all flights operating between India and Singapore. This will extend the enhanced dining experience to a broader segment of premium travellers.

The airline partnered with renowned International Culinary Panel (ICP) Chef Sanjeev Kapoor to conceptualise and develop these enhanced meal options. This collaboration brings authentic Indian flavours crafted with premium ingredients to the airline’s high-end cabin services.

“India is a key market for Singapore Airlines, and we continuously strive to meet and exceed our customers’ evolving expectations. Our refreshed Shahi Thali and Ruchi Thali demonstrate our commitment to elevate the in-flight dining experience and delight our customers.”

Competitive Premium Strategy

The menu revamp comes as competition intensifies in the premium travel segment between India and Singapore. By focusing on culturally relevant, high-quality dining options, Singapore Airlines (SQ) aims to differentiate its premium services and strengthen its position in the lucrative India-Singapore travel corridor.

The timing of this culinary enhancement coincides with the post-pandemic recovery of international business and luxury travel. This is when premium cabin occupancy continues to rebuild toward pre-pandemic levels.
