Radosław Sikorski informed on Monday that he had convened an urgent gathering of abroad ministers of the Baltic Sea Council. In the video-talking photos, he added that the subject was of course European safety issues and the war in Ukraine.
Let us remind that there are 10 countries among the members of the RPM (Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Norway, Poland and Sweden) and a typical of the European Commission.
The Council was established in 1992 on the initiative of Poland. The main nonsubjective of this organisation is to coordinate cooperation between the Baltic Sea countries. However, since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Council has mostly focused on strengthening the safety of the Baltic Sea, including "the fight against the Russian shadow fleet and the countering sabotage of critical infrastructure".
Let us add that since July this year Poland has held a presidency in RPM. It will end in June, then the presidency will be handed over to Denmark. Meanwhile, diplomats from our country have a work to coordinate the work of the Council, including the organisation of meetings and regional cooperation.
Radosław Sikorski clashed with Elon Musk. He made him go to Mars.
The announcement of an urgent gathering is not the only publication by Sikorski, which has late sparked a stir on the network. The head of the Polish Ministry of abroad Affairs last weekend clashed online with Elon Musk.
Tesla's boss and erstwhile U.S. President's favourite Donald Trump suggested in a series of tweets that "The European Union should be dissolved", and sovereignty restored to countries so that "governments can better represent their citizens."
His entry most likely appeared in consequence to a fresh European Commission decision - Brussels imposed a punishment of EUR 120 million on the X billionaire platform due to non-compliance with the Digital Services Act (DSA). Dmitri Medvedev, Vice-President of the safety Council of the Russian Federation and Chief Propagandist Vladimir Putin, was clearly delighted by his words. "Exactly" – he repeated to Musk.
I think that was besides much for Sikorski. "As if individual else had doubts about whom all the anti-EU talk about sovereignty serves. Those who want to gain money to sow hatred and those who want to conquer Europe," wrote the abroad Minister.
Sikorski besides responded to Musk's rhetorical question: "How long before the EU ceases to exist?". "Go to Mars. There is no censorship of Nazi salutes" – he signed briefly.
