– As long as Germany is in the EU and NATO, I am more afraid of the German aversion to arms than the German army. We can see the announcement of a fresh approach to safety challenges from the coalitions established in Berlin," said the head of the Ministry of abroad Affairs Radosław Sikorski during a speech in the Sejm.

"The essence and thought of this treaty should be to strengthen Poland's relations with France so as to lead to a situation in which, as today, France and Germany consult before meetings of the Weimar format and jointly present their position towards Poland, but that Poland and France should make a common position," said PiS politician.

The head of the MFA assured that Poland is "better prepared for hard times than we would be as a lonely island, outside the networks of military, political and economical alliances". "The global environment is little predictable than 20 years ago, but Poland is stronger," he said.
The politician added that for Poland "the biggest threat would be the breakdown of the Western community". “We cannot afford to be alone, we search the credibility of alliances,” said the abroad Minister.
