The president of the United States announced fresh tariffs as part of his policy of protecting American industry. During his speech in the White House, he stressed that duties were the consequence to the "robbery" that the United States would experience over the years. Trump assured that this would bring economical growth and independency to America.
The case was addressed by abroad Minister Radosław Sikorski, who not only criticised Trump's decision on X, but besides hit the politicians of Law and Justice, who inactive – despite the duties imposed on Europe blindly commend his policies and views.

The head of the Polish Ministry of abroad Affairs commented sharply on the differences in customs introduced by the American President, which will hit the European economy. "I am curious how our right will explain that the duties that president Trump imposes on the European Union are to be twice as advanced as Russia," Sikorski wrote on platform X.
His words mention to the decision in which the US imposed 20% duties on EU goods, while Russia, Belarus and respective another countries were not covered. In an even worse situation there were China, which Trump imposed as many as 54 percent tariffs, and India – 26 percent.
What goods will include Donald Trump's fresh duties?
Trump said it imposes a 10% work on imports from all countries. He besides imposed higher, individualized tariffs on about 60 countries which the United States considers to be the largest "trade criminals". The U.S. president besides announced duties on cars produced outside the U.S., the tariff being 25%. These rates shall enter into force immediately.
Although duties will cover most of the imported goods, any products will stay unchanged. Steel and aluminium, which has already been covered by tariffs, will be excluded from the additional charges. However, fresh customs duties will affect computers and laptops from around the world, as well as semiconductors, wood, copper and medicines in the future.
