Although tensions between Israel, Iran and the United States have been spoken for any time, the crash occurred on Saturday morning, February 28. Sikorski on Poles in Iran
The latest information was provided by the head of the abroad Ministry Radosław Sikorski. "I finished talking to the head of our Tehran facility. Embassy staff secure, at Odysseus base registered only a fewer people, mostly with double citizenship. Together with our allies, we monitor a dramatic, hellishly complicated situation," he acknowledged in a post on platform X.
Let us add that the Polish MFA regularly warned Poles about the situation in Iran. Just a day before the attacks, there was this message: "The safety situation in the mediate East is unstable. The hazard of escalation is high! Air space for civilian traffic can be closed! Return by air may be impossible or importantly impeded". "If you are in Iran, safe the funds, always carry a passport, a loaded telephone and basic medicines" - stressed the entry.
Let us remind that the attacks on Iran have resulted in quite a few consequences besides for aviation, which may be crucial information for travelling Poles.
As Klaudia Zawitowska reported, Iran, Iraq, Israel Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar have already closed their airspace. The UAE has grounded all aircraft and flights over Syria are very difficult. Even Oman closed the port in Muscat (the capital of the country). At the same time, however, the Omans maintained the operation of another airports.
