Ukrainian forces invaded the Kursk region of Russia on 6 August and inactive fight there today. According to the U.S. newspaper, the Ukrainian operation has been the biggest challenge for Vladimir Putin since Wagner Group mercenaries' revolt and their “March to Moscow” in June 2023.
