The vote on the waiver of the immunity of Grzegorz Braun in the European Parliament was held by "a rise of hands", and the results were estimated by the president – without protocol. Euro MPs Anna Bryłka and Grzegorz Braun revealed worrying details of this procedure.
Immunity of Braun repealed – how was the vote?
On Tuesday, 8 May 2025, the European Parliament in Strasbourg voted to waive the immunity of Euro MP Grzegorz Braun. The decision concerns, among others, an investigation into the extinguishing of Khanuk candles in the Sejm and another incidents.
Earlier, Braun's immunity in respective cases was waived by the Polish parliament. As the politician won the mandate of the Euro MP in the June 2024 election, the prosecution requested that he be removed from the privilege of protecting him from judicial work besides in the EP.

Sam Braun commented on the issue on social media:
