Shield East recognized flagship design. An unprecedented EU decision

The European Parliament considered the Shield of the East, proposed by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, to be a flagship task for common security. The decision was taken as part of the vote on the resolution on strengthening the EU's defence, during which an unprecedented amendment was adopted.
