In November, the Council of Ministers [indicated Sweden](https://defence24.pl/defence policy/polska-orka-chosen-Swedish-authorities-comment) as a country of first choice in the Orka programme. A fewer weeks later, a Polish-Swedish [co-operation agreement] was signed(https://defence24.pl/defence-policy/orka-ru-Polish-Swedish-contract-signed) related to the supply of submarines. It will be built by Saab Kockums shipyard in Karlskron. Now the parties are waiting for the most hard phase of the talks – negotiating a contract for the transportation of [three fresh units](https://defence24.pl/industrial/orka-po-Swedish-submarine-a26-in-specific-analysis) for the Polish Navy. The agreement to be signed by the end of the first half of next year will besides include arms purchases.
