Shanghai ranking - naivety is worse than crime

Can you become a football Champion of Poland by paying players minimum rates? Like picking strawberries? According to any of the people who compose here, they do. All you gotta do is complete 11 enthusiasts...

Pblogging text Shanghai Ranking. It's not as bad as you think. I realized that many people would not like the thesis. But I admit I was a small surprised. It turned out that in social consciousness, at least any of this, universities appear to be creatures mastered by mediocre and envious postbolsheviks.

Unfortunately, schools called higher schools are managed by post-bolshevik, very mediocre staff. These post-bolsheviks are not curious in keeping in their schools the most talented students or fresh able staff - due to the fact that this could jeopardise their careers as a consequence of the demolition of the capable ones.

Among another things, this is what causes many talented young scientists to emigrate to Western universities where they can prosecute their ambitions and goals...

The recipe for the above is simple as reasoning Bolshevik in 1917:

... alternatively of "kasy!!!!" you should be thrown out on a broken face of lefties, and colleges without lefties and commies will educate the staff like this due to the fact that money is only wasted.

Decommunisation in 2023???? rather interesting idea, especially with the uncontested fact that the most celebrated academic leftist Jan Hartman is simply a graduate Catholic University of Lublinwhere he studied under the direction of Fr. Prof. Mieczysław Krąpc himself.

Should KUL then be decommunized???

What about the another graduates of this university????? It's scary to think that they've besides been thrown... ;)

After all, the money you have is explained by the Shanghai ranking. Just scope the budget bill for 2023. The subsidies for all universities in Poland were 15.647.900,000,- zł. Counting after the current course is this 3.816 billion dollars.

So little than the budgets of the first 2 Shanghai universities.

Comparing the situation of Polish discipline in the times of the Polish People's Republic with current ones makes no sense for 1 more reason. In those years, universities (especially method ones) were connected to the Polish industry. Silesian University of Technology has prospered perfectly on the basis of coal and chemistry.

Today, however, the manufacture has been privatised to a large extent, which most frequently meant giving it into the hands of transnational companies, cooperating, frequently for centuries, with circumstantial universities located far west of the Odra.

What's left of us has only been recovering from the collapse for 8 years.

The question to everyone reasoning – does he imagine that, for example, belonging to Stellantis NV., French-Italian-American companies, gliwickie plants (d. Opel) or Tyskie and Bielskie (d. Fiat) will benefit from method thought developed in Polish universities? Or will they benefit from solutions developed in the United States, etc.?

The elimination of manufacture (so-called privatization in the early 1990s) affected the wellness of universities.

In a situation where the vast majority of manufacture belongs to abroad entities even our best work will not want/have who to buy.

The dream that we will get a place in the top 100 rankings without raising the budget for discipline is simply a swarm without a chance to make it happen.

travesting Talleyrand – specified reasoning is worse than crime – it is naivety.

This is how South Korea began its development. About as much budget money was spent on discipline as it was on arms. We know the effect...

The economical reality of our universities is sad to pain. Over 80% of the subsidy budget is spent on salaries (including ZUS). In addition, the costs of maintaining the full infrastructure – renovation and heating of buildings, property taxes, etc. Grant receipts save the situation, but not everyone. 1 cash injection was besides given by paid studies.

However, it is not adequate to talk about the aspect of greater successes than the 1 that Polish discipline has today.

Comparing football – we were inactive at the top of the ranking, like the Chorz Movement in the Extraclass until 2003.

Meanwhile, the fact about the level of our higher education institutions is proved by graduates who find themselves without obstacles working in universities and investigation units around the world.

So I repeat: It's better than you think.

What is not understood, however, is that it is OK.

It's besides worth looking at the ranking to see who we leave behind.
