On Tuesday 11 July, a technological conference was to be held at KUL on the agony of the faithful and priests from the Łuce diocese, which took place from 1939 to 1945.
Unfortunately, one more time our university refused to agree to the gathering we had taken. This is the 4th specified situation in fresh times, erstwhile a university boasting the title of the Freedom Archipelago limits the place of communication.
The conference, co-organised with the Institute of Memory and Endowment Heritage, will not be held in the walls of the university, even though we have received preliminary approval from the manager for Administration, Fr Prof. Mirosław Sitar. Yesterday, the decision was revoked, most likely by orders from superiors. We do not know whether this decision was taken at the university or due to the intervention of the external church hierarchy.
However, this situation saddens us very much, due to the fact that the domain of our Club has always been the pursuit of truth, behind the teaching of St.John Paul II – “Ultimately service the truth!”
Of course, the technological conference “Diocese Crucified. Martyrology of the Łucsk diocese during the genocide of Ukrainian nationalists from 1939 to 1945" under the patronage Je bpa Marian Buczek (photo), with the participation of scholars from all over Poland, we will inform about its details soon.
The conference will besides be followed by the Lublin March of the Volynian Reich, which besides organizes the Institute of Memory and Kresov Heritage.
