Serbia in the heat of protests. Citizens request the President's resignation

In this Balkan country Alexandar Vučić from the Serbian Progressive organization governs as Prime Minister (2014 – 2017) and since 2017 as President. Opponents accuse him of populism, claim that Vučic's strategy of power has taken over the media, contributed to the emergence of corruption, has ties to organized crime and suppresses civilian liberties. In abroad policy, the president is roaming between Moscow and the West. Serbia seeks to join the European Union, but has not joined EU sanctions on Russia.
