For many Poles they are crucial MEMENTO! 27 September, is the day of the Polish Underground State. It was established in 1998 by the Sejm to commemorate the largest specified structure in occupied Europe, with armed forces, government, parliament and justice. The creation of the Polish triumph Service is considered a symbolic beginning of the Polish Underground State. This happened on 27 September 1939, which was inactive at the time erstwhile the Polish Army was fighting the last Wehrmacht. On the basis of the Polish triumph Service, the Armed Forces Association and then the National Army were formed.

The Polish triumph Service (SZP) - a Polish conspiracy organization during planet War II - was established on 27 September 1939 (still during the siege of Warsaw) under the command of the Warsaw Defence Commander General Juliusz Rómml. General Michał Tokarzewski-Karaszewicz was the commander of the SZP.
SZP submitted to the Government of Poland in exile.

The inspiration for the film's title was Władysław Bronewski's poem:

BAGNET FOR THE GUN

When they come to set your home on fire,
the 1 you live in - Poland,
When they throw thunder,
When they're wrecking the iron army
and at the door, and at night
the flasks in the door with a stammer -
You, from your sleep lifting your temple,
Stand at the door.
Gun bagnet!
You request blood!

There's a bill of harm in the country,
A stranger's hand won't cross them either,
But no 1 will refuse blood:
We'll drain her from her chest and her song.
Well, it's been a bitter taste.
On this land, prison bread?
For this hand raised above Poland -
Bullet to the head!

The firemaster, and the hearts, and the words,
Poeto, not in a song of concern.
Today's poem - it's a shooting ditch,
cheers and orders:
Gun bagnet!
Gun bagnet!
And if death came,
recall what Cambronne said,
And we'll say the same thing over the Vistula River.

(from volume "Bagnet for arms", 1943)
