This is thirteen times more than all improvement aid – a sum equal to the full gross home product of Africa. And all of this at a time erstwhile conflicts have reached unseen levels since planet War II.
On this fresh Year, let us yet set priorities properly. The safer planet starts with more investment in the fight against poverty, and the smaller in war.

Peace must prevail. It is clear that the planet has the resources to improve the quality of life, heal the planet, and guarantee a future based on peace and justice.
In 2026 I call upon leaders around the world: take this seriously. Choose people and the planet alternatively of suffering. And I appeal to all who hear this message: do your part. Our future depends on collective courage to act.
