The Law and Justice Club present in the Sejm advocated a government task to increase protection against mobbing at work for further work in the committee. However, MP Barbara Bartus stressed that the task requires deeper work with experts.

W The parliament continues its first reading of the government's bill, which aims to increase the protection of workers from mobbing.

Barbara Bartus (PiS) stressed that the problem of mobbing itself is real and requires serious solutions. However, she pointed out that labour law must not only be socially delicate but besides precise, predictable and fair to both parties.

– And this is unfortunately missing from this task – she assessed.

She pointed out that a simplified definition of mobbing could actually lead to excessive discretion. She besides added that extending and harmonising forms of harassment is fundamentally right, but without clear definitions it can lead to abuse.

She stressed that the PiS club was in favour of further, deeper work on the task together with experts, employers and employees.

– It should not be allowed that fresh regulations, alternatively of expanding the safety of workers, will lead to legal uncertainty, an increase in the number of disputes and, in fact, paralysis of relations in the workplace," she noted.
