Alcohol-free parliament and fresh rules of kilometers. Czarzasty presents the plan

On Tuesday, Members elected Vladimir Czarzasty as the fresh talker of the Sejm. This is the implementation of the coalition agreement, according to which during the mediate of his word Simon Hołownia was to be replaced by a marshal from the Left.

On Wednesday, Czarzasty presented the full composition of the Chancellery of the Sejm and reported his first orders. 1 of them is simply a ban on selling alcohol in the Sejm buildings. The Marshal explained that the order would apply from November 24. He stressed that he could not enter into force earlier, as first the alcohol stocks in the Sejm restaurant had to be arranged.

The Sejm is to set an example

If, on the 1 hand, we inform the public that we want to see less cases on the ERs at night, less cases of fights, thefts, all of the drinking situations, if we are talking about petrol stations, I think we should set an example as a state institution. That's why I signed the order. – explained the fresh marshal.

The subject of alcohol in the Sejm returned to the public debate after further reports of incidents involving drunk MPs. The fresh message by Sławomir Mentzen, the leader of the Confederacy, raised a large deal of interest, stating that without alcohol, the Sejm would have been less human place. Vladimir Czarzasty besides announced that next week he would sign a regulation on changes in kilometres that would enter into force on 1 January 2026. After the consultation, the marshal will sign the order, stressing that the decision is final.
