It was the sensational games from beginning to end, I dare repeat: it was the sequan-sational games," said Thomas Bach, president of the global Olympic Committee, during the closing ceremony of the XXXIII summertime Olympics in Paris. utilizing a word game, he referred to the first always beginning games not at the stadium but on a river flowing through the capital of France. It's hard to disagree with the Olympic athlete.

It is easier to measure the level of sports competitions by looking at them on a glass screen, but it is harder – if you were not there – their atmosphere. The Paris games, like most fans, I watched on TV. More credible in presenting the feeling about the atmosphere created by the organizers of the four-year event is, for example, the competition for medals by Maja Włoszczowska, Olympic medalist in mountain biking from Rio de Janeiro and associate of the IKOl Competition Commission. On social media, the fresh games said: “Everyday I thought that nothing could impress me more and I was incorrect all day. The Olympic Games in Paris exceeded the wildest expectations. The French set the bar very advanced and not only jumped over it with a large stock, they did so gracefully, filled with passion and love, which they infected all those who came to Paris for the games."

At the end of the Włoszczowska Games, he was elected Vice-President of the IOC. Our cyclist, after finishing respective competitions in Paris, was honored to present Olympic medals. She hung them on her necks: the first and, as it turned out later, the only Polish gold medalist of the St. On the another hand, the last Polish medalist – the cyclist Daria Pikulik – decorated the celebrated biathlonist Martin Fourcade, a sergeant of the French army. French, while inactive a player, I had the chance to see during the beginning ceremony of the 3rd planet Military Sports Games in Annecy in 2013. I besides found out how well the French can prepare a performance beginning a large sporting event. 11 years later, they raised this bar a fewer levels higher. An amazing ceremony traditionally ended Olympic inflammation. The flame lifted up a balloon that replaced the niche. The full exceptional moment, however, was complemented by a larger frame captured by the camera: an illuminated balloon and the Eiffel Tower with Olympic wheels hanging on it and a writhing by the centre of Paris Seine.

Olympic arenas with monuments in the background

For the following days, even the Seine was an arena of Olympic struggles – in it they fought for medals swimmers-marathons and in the swimming triathlonist part. The French besides utilized celebrated bridges in the Seine. On Alexander III bridge, cyclists competing in individual riding on time and triathlonists finished. On Pont d’Lena and the neighbouring Trocadero, where the beginning ceremony of the games ended, the grandstands were built to accommodate 13,000 spectators. The fresh facility was utilized for fans watching cyclists conflict in the race from a common start and walkers. Interestingly, the star of the athletics beginning the competition of the walkers on Pont d’Lena was Robert Korzeniowski, four-time Olympic champion and among others a silver medalist... I planet Military Sports Games in Rome (1995).

The French, to organize more urban games utilizing celebrated buildings as backgrounds for the competitions, built awesome arenas at the ft of the Eiffel Tower or in the gardens of the Versailles Palace. On the Mars Fields, their matches were played by beach volleyball players, and their struggles could be seen in the stands by 12,000 spectators. In Versailles, against the background of the palace, 5 modern fighters fought for medals. All competitions (only a bonus round) were held in 1 place and the stands were prepared for 80,000 people. In specified an different setting, Polish five-boys competed. In this typical military discipline Poland was represented only by soldiers: 2 players and 2 players from Central Military Sports Team. In turn, they were warmed up as a squad coach by a soldier from the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade from the Holy Sgt. Marcin Horbacz, multimedia master of the Polish Army Championship in respective sports disciplines.

On the another hand, in the square in front of the Invalid Palace, where the Army Museum is located, a grandstand for 8,000 spectators grew – they could watch the cyclists start in individual riding on time, finish the marathon and compete in archery. On the another hand, Place de la Concorde was enriched with grandstands for 30,000 spectators – they were passionate about competing in 4 sports disciplines: breaking, cycling BMX (freestyles), basketball 3 x 3 and skateboarding. At the Hotel de Ville, close Notre Dame Cathedral, while on way 42 km 195 m marathonists.

Any runner could have felt Olympic.

On the final day of the Olympics, women fought for medals in the marathon, and in the penultimate men. Only CWZS runners: St. Mar. spec. Aleksandra Lisowska and Angelika Mach won the race pass on the 42 km 195 m route. The erstwhile completed the run in 36th position and the second in 64. Marathon winners – Ethiopian Tamirat Tola and Dutch Sifan Hassan on an highly hard way with steep runs and a necky fugitive set fresh Olympic records. Of the 81 men who stood at the start, 71 reached the finish line, and of the 91 women who struggled to compete failed 10. The French, however, had a superb thought that the Olympic tour would be defeated by thousands of marathon runners. They did not want a well-prepared tour to shine voids between the morning start of men and women. So in the evening and night, they organized a mass run of Paris Pour Tous, in which more than 20,000 runners competed!

St. General Specialist Aleksandra Mirosław.

The marathon triumphant was the American Jared Ward, who won sixth place at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. However, just behind it, with a time of 2 hours 27 min 28 s, was finished by Fr Mariusz Giżyński from the Central Military Sports Team. This Petty Officer, who presently performs as a coach, although he has already finished his competitive starts, continues to take part in marathons and another runs and in triathlon competitions. With the launch in Paris Pour Tous, he made his dreams come true. As a competitive player, he was twice close to gaining passes for the Olympic Games and only as an amateur felt the Olympic atmosphere of the marathon run. On social media, he said she was brilliant. "It was great. The fans cheered madly and were everywhere!” he wrote. He besides admitted that the tour in Paris was the hardest he had always made in his career.

It turns out that in over 20,000 fortunate crowds who could compete on the Olympic tour, there could be any amateur running. Of course, those who knew about this run, fulfilled the tasks of the organizers and were fortunate to draw packages. 1 of them was Colonel Wojciech Robak, who participated many times in utmost events organized by the Military Club of the Runner Meta Lubliniec. – In order to receive the launch package, for a year I had to do the tasks of the French, who prepared a peculiar application for the candidates for the launch. These were various types of challenges: complete 5 x 5 km per week, run 5 km as fast as possible, finish six races of at least 40 min in 2 weeks, says the lieutenant colonel. He besides admits that his plans could have thwarted the knee injury he acquired in March. “The strong will, efficient rehabilitation, sports hardening and willingness to start at this unique event allowed me to stand at its start and finish the run”, added the officer.

Colonel Robak was delighted with the Parisian run and atmosphere created by fans. – The French organized an unprecedented event. They allowed thousands of amateurs to feel the games full of breast milk and the hardships of the Olympic tour. The views they gave us along the way will stay in my memory for a long time. The incredible atmosphere was besides created by fans who supported us with cheering in the mediate of the night. There were plenty of them on the streets. All of Paris lived this run. besides amazing were these runs and fugitives between 16 and 33 km – the Lt. Col.

Silver to silver

The Paris Games with monuments in the background brought the Polish squad 10 medals. The fans' expectations were definitely bigger. The Ministry of athletics and Tourism is now looking into whether the money spent rationally on the Olympic preparations for launch. Prime Minister Donald Tusk, in turn, admitted that "we all know that Poland's results at the games were amazingly poor". – There is simply a reasonable belief that public funds for sport, including the Olympic one, went very much. So the question is whether they were decently issued – said the president of the Council of Ministers. Various dishonest practices of activists are emerging. It was not fair until the first group of Polish athletes landed in Paris. unusual situation occurred during the first Olympic pledge at the Olympic Centre of the Polish Olympic Committee in Warsaw. In live broadcast, exclusively by TVP Info, a celebration (recently with a fifteen-minute hold due to the anticipation of a very crucial guest who did not yet arrive; for this came another – Minister of athletics and Tourism – who strangely did not receive an invitation to a vow) to vow the athletics first the trainers and accompanying persons were asked on stage, and only later the athletes. - Who's more crucial here? Who are the games for? – there were questions of people from the military community with whom I watched the broadcast.

St. General Natalia Kaczmarek.

In the meantime, after respective days, the athletes returned from Paris with only 1 medal. The honor of the squad was saved by the St. General Natalia Kaczmarek. And in general, an 80-man group of soldiers in 211 Olympic squad players won half of the discs, including the only gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze. It happened that, a century ago, at the Paris Games, the first always Olympic medal for Poland – silver – was won by Józef Lange, Jan Łazarski, Tomasz Stankiewicz and Franciszek Szymczyk. During the XXXIII summertime Olympics in Paris – besides on the last day of the event – in the last run of the Polish typical at the 2024 Games, the silver medal in track cycling was won by Daria Pikulik. On Velodrome de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines after a fantastic run in a scoring race from eighth position after 3 races, she advanced to the second overall classification of the omnium. It was close to being enjoyed by the Central Military Sports squad from Daria's warrior medal. A fewer years ago St. Chor. staff. mar. dir. Robert Rapsiewicz, then the coach-coordinator of the cycling representation of the Polish Army, received the preliminary accession of the cyclist to undergo military training. In the end, however, Daria did not go to the Military Sports squad in Gdynia, from which she would then have an open road to CGM.

At the 1924 Paris Games, Poles started winning Olympic medals with silver and finished the Olympic start on silver after a 100 years. In 4 years, the Olympic Games will be hosted for the 3rd time in Los Angeles. In 1932, the White-Reds won 2 gold medals there (Janusz Kusociński in the 10 000 m run and Stanisław Walasiewicz in the 100 m run), 1 silver (two with a helm in rowing) and 4 brown. In 1984, due to the boycott of American games by the communist regime, Poles did not compete in the City of Angels. This is very regrettable, among others, for a certain candidate to take a place on the podium, wrestler of the Warsaw Legion Andrzej Malina, the 1986 planet champion. In 2028, will his younger mates from the wrestling mat and another athletes fulfill their dreams of winning the Olympic medal that the legionist was taken away? Will the White-Reds improve the medal accomplishment from the “sequential” games, which ranked them at 42nd in the medal classification? We'll see... The fans are patient – we will wait these 4 years!
