“Safety unites us” – how to defend the most precious

The Polish Armed Forces Group Foundation, together with the Veteran Centre for Activities Outside the State Borders, is starting the implementation of the “Security Connects Us”. This will be a series of free educational training courses aimed at families from tiny towns and municipalities in the east part of the country. The aim of the task is to build applicable cognition of safety in everyday life at home, in the network and in public space with emphasis on fresh challenges specified as drone reflection and designation of misinformation. The honorary patronage of the task was assumed by Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish, Minister of National Defence.

The programme shall be of a local and Community nature. The PGZ Foundation and the Veteran Centre direct their activities primarily to smaller centres – municipalities, towns and villages – where access to akin educational initiatives is restricted.

The programme will be inaugurated in November 2025 in 5 towns of Lublin Voivodeship (19 November - Zamość, 24 November Poniatowa, 2 - December Wólka Pościradowska, 4 - December Lublin, 5 - December Kraśnik). As part of meetings and workshops, participants will learn how to respond in crisis situations, how to prepare an evacuation backpack, how to supply first aid, how to defend their data online, and how to usage fresh technologies wisely at home and around. A peculiar component of the task will be the panel “Safe sky above home”, prepared jointly with soldiers of the Polish Army. Careful listening, clear communication and joint action are key factors in helping to overcome hard situations.

"Safety unites us" is an initiative that brings together different environments: defence, education and social. The PGZ Foundation and the Veteran Centre plan to extend the programme to another regions of Poland after the pilot phase in Lublin Voivodeship. The task is besides to be complemented by an information run on social media, short video advice on "Three Things You Can Do present to Make Your Home Safer".

The initiative complements the educational activities carried out by the Ministry of Defence, placing peculiar emphasis on applicable skills and the household dimension of security. Each training will end with a short safety guide with a set of recommendations and emergency contacts. Each born female will besides receive a first aid kit after training. The number of places for training is limited, the order of applications is mandatory.
