The historical extension of the Free Mullage Council (directed besides by women's organisations), to which Scotland joins as the newest member.
The Scottish free-muralists joined forces with their counterparts – both men and women – from across the UK as part of a fresh national council.
The Grand Lodge of Scotland has become the newest associate of the UK Council for Freemasonry in large Britain, which now unites the most crucial governing bodies in the country under 1 banner.
The council consists of the United large Lodge of England (UGLE), the Order of Women of Freemulators (OWF), the Venerable Brotherhood of Ancient Freemulators (HFAF), and now the large Lodge of Scotland.
The Council established in 2024 aims to strengthen cooperation between individual organisations, while promoting common values, including honesty, friendship, respect and service.
Her work focuses on social engagement, charity projects, expanding membership and changing outdated stereotypes, and opinions on freemasonry.
The inclusion of Scotland means that the council now represents free-mulging across the UK.
Alexander Moncrieff, Grand Master of the large Lodge of Scotland, said: “The Freedom Council is simply a key platform that reflects our common principles and commitment to the service of the community. The Scottish free-muralists are arrogant to be able to join our counterparts from all over the UK to jointly build understanding, cooperation and the spirit of charity, which forms the foundation of free-muralism."
Jonathan Spence, Substitute of the large Master (Pro Grand Master) UGLE, said: “The expansion of the Council for Scotland is simply a historical minute for free-multure in Britain. This is simply a improvement of a imagination that has brought together male and female freedom within the framework of the Joint Council, and is evidence of our collective commitment to openness, integration (inclusiveness) and service to our communities."
