As of 1 January 2026, regulations will enter into force, which will importantly change the way construction investments are designed and implemented in Poland. Investors, designers and local governments will gotta face fresh obligations under the civilian Protection and civilian Defence Act of 5 December 2024. Public and residential buildings will gotta have cellars and garages adapted to emergency shelters. The fresh law can importantly affect investment costs and, consequently, hit the portfolios of future housing owners.
