Adam W., an officer of the Polish Army, collected signatures on the grounds of a military unit for Rafał Trzaskowski's candidacy in the fresh presidential elections. The law prohibits specified activities on army grounds, which is why the Gdańsk prosecutor's office took up the case. The erstwhile head of the Ministry of National Defense, Mariusz Błaszczak, intervened in the case, in his opinion the soldier's behaviour may undermine citizens' trust in the army.
