5 November 2025. The Commission for wellness Protection of Diqing Prefecture in Yunnan state imposed on Shanghai-La Minsheng infirmary (Civil infirmary in Shanghai-La) a punishment in the form of a reprimand and a fine of 10,000 yuan. This decision was made in connection with the case of the patient being admitted to childbirth and the illegal transportation of the newborn for adoption.
Earlier on 27 August 2025, on the basis of the information reported, 2 wellness Protection Commission inspectors carried out an inspection at the hospital, in the presence of the Vice-President of the facility, Mr Li. It was established that on 16 August 2025, at 19 p.m., a patient named Yu, most likely a minor, had reported to the infirmary for abortion.
