The European Union has entered the phase of building the largest satellite task in its history. The IRIS programme, worth more than € 15.6 billion, is intended to supply Europe with digital sovereignty and independency from American technologies. The EU is implementing an ambitious task to make a satellite network more modern than Starlink.
