Sabotage in Polish Post

"Today we face brutal fact – the Polish Post Office is systematically destroyed by decisions that are not only wrong, but even detrimental to the Polish economy and the safety of the state! What the Management Board of the Polish Post Office does has nothing to do with repair or improvement – it is sabotage that degrades our company step by step!" - the representatives of Solidarity and another trade unions operating in the Polish Post Office are alarmed.

The trade unions operating in the Polish Post powerfully argue the form of negotiations on the organization Collective Labour Agreement (ZUZP).


"At the seventh negotiating gathering held on 29 January this year, the Management Board of the Polish Post Office (PP) presented a fresh task of ZUZP to the surprise of all organizations. This paper was unilaterally imposed by the PP Board, despite ongoing negotiations since 21 October 2024"

"The way in which this task is presented and sent, without the prior chance of the participants of the negotiations, is clear evidence of the sick will of the PP Management Board in the context of sound negotiations and the signature of a fresh ZUZP"

"At each negotiation meeting, the PP Board, represented by Vice-President Joanna Drozd, declared its willingness to negociate in good religion with the social side. However, the actions taken by the Management Board at the last gathering on 29 January this year contradict these declarations. The presentation of the fresh draft ZUZP and the announcement that within a fewer days the Trade Unions will receive the draft Payment Regulations, attest only to a deliberate stalling game from the PP Management Board"

Workers' representatives request that the next gathering be held on 12 February. The Management Board of PP has clearly addressed all proposals made by the social side concerning the ZUZP, which were the subject of earlier six negotiating meetings and are noted in the minutes.


"We request full information and concrete proposals of the PP Management Board on: presenting in writing full economical results Companies for 2024 in the division of generic costs and revenues in the arrangement: gross from letter services, parcels and courier services, financial services and revenues from commercial activities and another non-listed revenues, financial consequence of the Company for 2024, taking into account the compensation received for the Polish Post for the years 2021-2022, internship allowance, Jubilee awards, yearly bonus, retirement allowances, allowances for drivers carrying out single-person loading and unloading, insole and convoy allowance, the amount of chord rates, the wage table of employees by grade"

At the same time, they anticipate to be active in the negotiations in the ZUZP case of the Minister of State Acts as the Owner of the State Treasury Company or a designated typical from the MAP.

"Posta Polska is the only Polish operator operating throughout the country. all failure of part of the market, all weakening of its position, all hasty decision leading to the simplification of employment, closures and deterioration of the quality of services is simply a direct blow to the interests of the Republic of Poland! What does the board offer us in return? Hiding the actual scale of degradation, propaganda messages and covering up the expected necessity of savings"

"That's it! The Polish Post Office cannot be treated like ballast to throw away! This is not a private company for experiments and speculation. This institution, which for decades has been the foundation of communication and logistics of the Polish state! That is why present we appeal and warn: We will not passively watch this destruction! We call on the president of Poland, the Government, Parliament, Political Parties and all Poles – do not let the Polish Post be demolished! If this policy continues, there will be irreversible losses. Should we watch the national postal operator neglect by giving the field to abroad entities? Should we let the Polish company to be brought into the function of a marginal player in the hands of people who do not realize its mission and meaning? We say: NO!"

They demand, as they claim, an immediate departure from the policy of destroying the Polish Post and starting real corrective actions.

"We will not let ignorance and short-sighted decisions to lead to the collapse of the company, which is 1 of the pillars of the Polish state.

Polish Post is simply a national good – let us treat it anyway!"
