"Saber Junction" – ready to defend

More than 7600 soldiers and 1,000 military vehicles participate in the multinational ground military exercises "Saber Junction ‘25" in Germany. 16 Pomeranian Mechanized Division commands 3 allied brigades. “With specified training, we are ready to defend ourselves against any threat,” says Brig-Gen. Soldiers from Albania, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Georgia, Italy, Kosovo, Lithuania, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, large Britain and the USA take part in the “Saber Junction 25” maneuvers. The military went to the polygons in Grafenwöhr and Hohenfels in German Bavaria, about 60 kilometres apart.

Together on earth and in the air

Soldiers of the ground troops usage M1296 armoured transporters Dragoon Stryker US Army, belonging to the Spanish Army of Boxer transporters, M939, light tactical vehicles, medical evacuation vehicles and unmanned micro- and mini-class aircraft. Air support is provided by helicopters UH-60 Black Hawk and AH-64 Apache.

"Saber Junction" is an annual, large military exercise organized by the 7th Army Training Command (7ATC), which is the largest out-of-the-box training command of the U.S. Army led by the combined command of the US Army (USAREUR-AF). It is liable for operations, training and support of American land forces in Europe and Africa.

– During the "Saber Junction" exercise, we emphasize the performance of the tasks set before EUCOM (European Command of the United States – ed.). specified training builds trust, a sense of work and a common readiness of NATO allies," says Brig. The “Saber Junction 25” exercises will last until September 21. About a 100 soldiers of the 16th Mechanized Division participate.
