So far, the Swedes do not believe that the request to get a Gripen successor is peculiarly urgent. Currently, 60 C/D variants are being rebuilt to the E/F version, equipped, among others, with AESA radar and with better scope and capabilities to carry weapons. These machines, which are almost a fresh kind of aircraft, taking into account the scope of the changes, have only just entered service and, together with the late ordered aircraft of the early informing and command of Saab GlobalEye, should be a satisfactory solution even for respective more years.
