A spokesperson for tiny and average Entrepreneurs addressed comments to the Ministry of Climate and Environment on the draft Act on Packaging and Packaging Waste (UC100).
According to the Ombudsman's press office, the proposed solutions request to be modified to take full account of the situation and needs of micro, tiny and medium-sized enterprises.
The current ROP concept can lead to excessive burdens on the SME sector
The speech stressed that the current concept of Extended maker work (ROP) could lead to excessive burdens for the SME sector. The Ombudsman so called for consideration to be given to the introduction of a hybrid model that would supply greater efficiency in another EU countries, while maintaining key supervisory and control competences on the part of public administrations.
"We want the ROP strategy not to be a barrier to operating but to support entrepreneurs in their environmental obligations. That is why we propose solutions that, on the 1 hand, will increase the efficiency of waste management and, on the another hand, will safeguard the interests of the smallest companies", says Agnieszka Majewska, the Ombudsman of SMEs.
Necessary simplification of NFOŚiGW's contract and application procedures
Minister Majewska besides pointed out the request to simplify the procedures for concluding contracts and examining applications by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, acting as a ROP organisation. There are besides requests to extend the time of public consultation due to the complexity of the task and crucial consequences for entrepreneurs.
The comments submitted do not relate to the bailout system, the Ombudsman’s speech concerns only the proposed changes in the ROP.
