The improvement of the e-health strategy with the e-Consilium strategy and the Home Medical Care System, as well as allowing artificial intelligence to be utilized in the medical-diagnostic process – these are any of the solutions contained in the wellness ministry project, which will be handled by the government on Tuesday.
The draft amendment of the laws in connection with the improvement of eHealth services aims to implement 1 of the milestones in the National Reconstruction Plan. The task serves, among others, the support of wellness professionals in providing wellness services. In addition, changes are intended to supply patients with better access to information on their wellness and improve care.
The task foresees, among others, the improvement of a platform of intelligent services, which will enable the usage of algorithms and solutions based on artificial intelligence in diagnostics, especially imaging. This will be possible, for example, in the area of pathology detection in chest CT or breast cancer lesions (mammagraphy).
Thanks to the platform it will be possible to analyse diagnostic images faster and more accurately, and thus to undertake faster medical interventions. Doctors and electroradiologists will be able to get in a comparatively short time an explanation of the consequence performed by the AI algorithm.
The MZ task besides assumes an extension of the eHealth strategy to the e-Consilium strategy and Home Medical Care System. It will be possible to monitor the patient’s wellness remotely utilizing the Home Care System. This is to velocity up the recognition of early-stage wellness problems for patients in hazard groups or chronically sick patients, thus reducing the hazard of complications, failure of wellness or life.
In turn, the e-Consilium strategy involves conducting distant consultations between doctors utilizing patient medical data.
