The National Institute of Freedom – Centre for the improvement of civilian Society (NIW-CRSO) called on Robert Bąkiewicz and his association Rota March of independency to return over PLN 383 1000 of grants obtained during PiS times.

The Tusk government took on Bąkiewicz. The audit of the National Institute of Freedom, which is simply a government agency, revealed alleged “many irregularities” in the Rota March of independency association, which is president Robert Bąkiewicz. Among them are: deficiency of evidence for the operation of the office and orders for the company personally associated with Bąkiewicz. In addition, as part of a task for which the leader of the "Mount of defence Borders" received support from the government program, he was to commission the recording of the spots to tv National Media SA, to which he was president.

"In this way more than PLN 55,000 went to the company managed by Robert Bąkiewicz. Paweł Kryszczak, task coordinator in Rota March of independency association, was on the Supervisory Board of the company. – written in a message from the National Institute of Freedom.

The National Institute of Freedom pointed out that at the same time the association rented a place from the Zabuże Foundation, founded by a close associate of Bakiewicz – Paweł Kryszczak in Biała Podlaska. ‘The association provided no evidence that action was being taken there. No information can be found about the Foundation Zabuła Pawel Kryszczak. The address indicated as an office is simply a private home. At the time of the audit, Robert Bąkiewicz presented photographs which, as it turned out, illustrated events in Wrocław, among others" – reads the statement.

Kryszczak, as noted, was hired as a media monitoring expert. ‘The association was incapable to supply evidence of the performance of the tasks described in the report.’ – added.

According to NIW ‘the association did not supply confirmations of transfers documenting the actual payment of services and goods purchased under the task. In addition, the audit concluded, among another things, that there was no accounting policy, that there were no appropriate mandates, that there was no confirmation of the usage of the premises which were financed by the project, and that there was no implementation of the task results.’

Director of NIW ordered Robert Bąkiewicz's association to reimburse PLN 383 991, along with interest. The audit study is shortly to be published on the Institute's website.

The audit showed many irregularities specified as deficiency of proof of performance of services, deficiency of payment documentation or a fictional office. So much left of large patriotic slogans – hundreds of thousands of zlotys to be given back” – wrote for the X spokesperson for the Tusk government, Adam Szpiek.

In consequence to this entry, Robert Bąkiewicz wrote that it is simply a political campaign: "You have told lies to the NIW director, although the Rot task has been settled by both the erstwhile and current NIW powers – without reservation". ‘Fiction Office’, “no documents”, “irregularities” is simply a communicative built for political attack’ – he added.

In his opinion, “this is simply a strike in the Border defence Movement. "We already have the materials collected by your own prosecutor, from which it is clear that Polish officials have agreed to decision migrants from Germany to Poland. That's why you're trying to slander me today. But the fact about the border will come out anyway” said Bąkiewicz.
