On Monday 2 February, an yearly military qualification began – an administrative and medical procedure to find citizens' capabilities for military service and establish their position in reserve records. The action will last until 30 April, covering about 235 1000 people.

In 2026 mandatory military qualifications is subject to a broad group of citizens – this is the consequence of a regulation of the Minister of National Defence, based on Home defence Act. What is military qualifications?
Military qualification is simply a compulsory administrative and medical procedure aimed at determining the physical and intellectual capacity for military service, entering the person's data in the military reserve records or updating them, and yet giving the appropriate category of capability. This is not an automatic appointment for active service, but a key step in determining the position of a individual in the state's defence system.
The organisation of field activities is handled by Military Recruitment Centres (WCR) and region medical committees. They send calls that contain the place, date and time of the appearance. The requested persons must bring with them an identity card (ID or passport), medical papers and confirmation of education and professional qualifications, peculiarly for women under the work to call. Upon arrival, the committee shall verify individual data and enter them in the military records. The requested persons shall then undergo tests to find their wellness and ability to serve. The Commission may address additional consultations or specialised studies.
