The Russians will repair and modernize 800 T-62

Russian refurbishment plant No 103 was tasked with refurbishing and upgrading about 800 T-62 tanks for the Russian Federation Armed Forces. Does this mean that the shortages in Russian tanks are so large that they scope for more than 50-year-old tanks?
