Russian-Ukrainian War (as of morning 09.04.2025):
- Under Pokrowski, the Russians regained their erstwhile positions in Lysiwka, lost as a consequence of Ukrainian counterattacks from February.
- Russian forces proceed slow advancement towards Siwiersk. This time they managed to occupy respective points reinforced north of Wierchnokamian.
- The Russians captured Katerinivka and Torski, on the Liman section. This second success was crucial, on the way to breaking Ukrainian defence and further offensive westward. The Torskis resisted many months, and the battles under them cost the Kremlin considerable losses.
- On the Buyer's section there are fierce fights over the village of Kindraszovka.
- On the kursko-sumi front, the Russians entered the village of Łoknia, on the Ukrainian side of the border. In addition, they completed the seizure of Gujev. To the full liberation of the Kursk region, they only gotta master the tiny villages of Olesznia and Gornal.
