The relation between Russia and the United arabian Emirates has had and is doing well and even getting better. The UAE is seeking to teeter between Washington and Moscow, opting to keep apparent neutrality due to the fact that they presume the current planet order is moving towards multipolarity. Ties with Russians are increasing, and trade between the countries reached $9 billion in 2022, expanding by 68 percent. Not surprisingly, since the UAE not only did not join Western sanctions against Moscow, but became a key part of the strategy to bypass them. Therefore, as a Russian businessman put it in an interview with The News York Times, although having a Russian passport is presently very toxic in the world, there is no problem in Dubai being Russian.
