

Members of the State Duma approved the bill at first reading prohibiting ‘foreign agents’ from conducting educational and training activities, both for minors (which was already banned) and adults. The paper adopted besides allows for the exclusion of ‘foreign agents’ teaching licences.
In addition, ‘foreign agents’ will be deprived of access to municipal financial support. Under the current rules, they do not have access to state financial support.
The Interfax Agency reports that the bill was drafted by a commission to analyse abroad interference. The paper has been signed by members of all factions of Duma, as well as the heads of the Committees on Education, discipline and Higher Education and civilian Society.
