Russian aggression against Ukraine and the urgent request for intellectual change in the West [OPINION]

The war in Ukraine requires us not only to change the sphere of defence policy, but above all in the sphere of reasoning about this phenomenon. Let us note that almost mechanically since the end of the Cold War in the West, societies have excluded the anticipation of an outbreak of this kind of high-intensity full-scale conflict on the European continent. Building the illusion that war is becoming a certain media show, but it doesn't apply to us. The West thus lost not only on the amount of tanks and aircraft capable of operating, but, above all, it lost the facilities for a intellectual knowing of the struggles of war. And this weakness is being exploited by the Russians now, and on eliminating it depends on helping Ukraine and preparing the West for any script that could bring a highly uncertain future.
