"Russia has never and never acted like a colonizer, unlike Western countries" - said Russian president Vladimir Putin at the east economical Forum (EEF) held on 12 September in Vladivostok. He pointed out that African countries should remember Russia's aid in their fight for independence. It is crucial that he said this to the leadership of the state whose foundations were built on the lasting respective 100 years of imperial expansion.
