Since the war started by Putin, Russia, the world's second largest arms exporter after the United States, has been losing marketplace share at an expanding rate. Exports have halved, and their share of the global arms marketplace has fallen to 7.8 percent. The Americans are the marketplace hegemon. US companies meet 43 percent of global request for arms, mainly thanks to orders from Europe. Losing this marketplace as a consequence of Donald Trump's actions would be catastrophic for the US arms industry.
