Romanian charge d’affaires Lilian Burda was given a note, in which for adverse persons the Romanian Defence Attache and its Deputy.
The Russian Ministry's Communication states that this is simply a consequence to the Romanian party's earlier decision to recognise for an unwanted Russian defence attache at the Russian embassy in Bucharest and his deputy. As it was stated, Romania’s decision ‘was not motivated’.

Georgescu was a favorite in a court appeal Constitutional Second circular of presidential elections last December. The prosecutor initiated an investigation against him on suspicions of election irregularities.
Georgescu praised the fascist Romanian leaders of the 1930s and expressed admiration for Russia's leader Vladimir Putin. By decision of the Constitutional Court, he was not allowed to run for re-election in the presidential election.
