The Ministry of Defence of Romania provided information on the conclusion of the multi-month negotiations. This happened during the gathering of the local chief of the department, Angel Tilvar, with his South Korean counterpart Shin Won-sik during his visit to Romania. It has been stressed that this is the largest deal to acquisition arms for the Romanian Army in the last 7 years, which will not only let the replacement of part of towed artillery, but besides to produce certain capabilities in the industry. Ministers agreed on further cooperation based on joint military training, information exchange, education and arms acquisition, and technology. It is worth mentioning that the South Korean minister will shortly visit Poland in order to meet the Minister of Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish and visit the 23rd Tactical Aviation Base in Minsk Mazowiecki, where FA-50 aircraft are stationed.
