Another phase of conversation
The next phase of negotiations in Abu Dhabi began. The negotiation process began in tripartite format – Ukraine, the United States and Russia. Work will then be held in separate groups, according to (individual) issues, followed by a re-ordination of positions – reported Death on the Telegram communicator.
He stressed that the Ukrainian squad was acting in accordance with the guidelines of president Volodymyr Zelenski, aiming to accomplish a dignified and lasting peace, and pointed out that he would inform the president of the course of each phase of the negotiations.
The Ukrainian delegation, in addition to the Dead, consists of: president Kyrylo Budanow's Head of Bureau, together with the first Deputy Serhij Kyslącia, president of Parliamentary organization Servant Dawyd Arachamija, Head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andrij Hnatov and Advisor to president Alexander Bewz.
Did the first circular work?
The first circular of trilateral peace negotiations between Ukraine, Russia and the US was held in Abu Dhabi on 23–24 January. After that, U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff interviewed Russia's typical Kirilla Dmitriev in Miami, which he described as productive and constructive. According to Witkoff, the gathering was a affirmative signal for ongoing mediation efforts, and the broad composition of the US delegation emphasized the importance of talks. On the X Witkoff portal, he stated that the gathering gives hope that Russia seeks to accomplish peace in Ukraine.
The origin of the RBK-Ukraine portal, knowing the details of the talks, reported that the first circular of meetings on 23-24 January was preliminary. The delegations then met again in a broader lineup and divided into 2 sub-groups – political and military – which held talks separately. These include the request to allocate forces, how to monitor the end of war and ceasefire, the establishment of a centre of control and coordination of the truce and what countries could be represented in it.
Massive attack from Russia
On the night of Monday on Tuesday, Russia launched the largest since the beginning of the year an attack on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, utilizing 450 drones and over 60 rockets. Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenski stated that the Russian army did not usage the US proposal to suspend weapons for diplomatic purposes, but to prepare another attack, and announced Ukraine's contact with the United States on this issue.
U.S. president Donald Trump reported on Tuesday that Vladimir Putin kept his word and refrained from attacking Ukrainian cities for a week, indicating a period “from Sunday to Sunday”.
