The president thus referred to the fresh "New York Times" reports. The diary reported that the latest satellite images show the expansion of military bases and infrastructure at the border with Finland, which, according to the "NYT" may "disclose the Russian strategy on what will happen after the war in Ukraine.
Photographs, confirmed by NATO officials, show the government behind a row of fresh tents, fresh warehouses where military vehicles can be stored, refurbishment of fighter shelters, and permanent helicopter-based construction activity, which was mostly unused. According to experts quoted by the newspaper, these moves look like an early phase of larger, long-term expansion, although this does not match preparations specified as those before the invasion of Ukraine.
