A modernised variant of the russian BM-27 launcher Uragan was [delegated to combat at the front in the spring of last year](https://defence24.pl/war-on-Ukrainian-report-special-defence24/Russians-send-on-Ukraine-improved-artillerie-racite) (although this may have happened even earlier), showing a likely failure to implement the Uragan-1M systems into the Russian army. The 9K57-1 Uragan-1 launcher proved to be much easier to refine, allowing to supplement any of the losses suffered by the russian kind of rocket carrier 220 mm. Already in the summer, 1 of these [structures has been disabled by Ukrainians](https://defence24.pl/war-on-ukrainie-report-special-defence24/Russian-modernized-uragan-unharmonized) utilizing a GMLRS rocket launched from M142 HIMARS.
