The Russian fleet of BTR-80 wheeled armoured transporters in the variant was unmodified over the years has been importantly reduced. Large losses in the fighting in Ukraine (more than 240 copies lost irretrievably) make them increasingly uncommon in the form of weapons, by any commentators sentenced to extinction. This structure is now obsolete, causing Russians to want to upgrade it. 1 of them was captured in the photograph below, depicting a transporter with a listed tower for an unmanned weapons module 32G01 Boomerang-Burevestnik, somewhere in occupied areas of Ukraine.
