The marine specnaz in the north-western sea pool was initially represented by 2 Black Sea Fleet units and 1 peculiar Operations Force (SSO), and later joined them by a marine unit formed on the basis of the volunteer 88th Brigade of Espanyola. Maritime specnaz, likewise as in the Ukrainian army, was besides utilized for tasks on land, but in this article we focus exclusively on tasks related to the coastal zone.
