For years Lithuania lived in the shadow of Russian threats, and Moscow seemed to test the patience of the full region. But it looks like the Kremlin's last moves crossed a thin line. Germany has decided that the brigade in Lithuania will be deployed there permanently – General Alexus Grynkewich, the commander-in-chief of NATO forces in Europe, reported. He pointed out that this was an crucial step towards strengthening deterrence and defence on the east flank of the Alliance.
