No ship has entered Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea present due to the threat of Russian attacks
According to the Ukrainian media, Minister of abroad Affairs of Ukraine Andrij Sybiha stated that Ukraine is planning to appeal to the UN to convene an extraordinary safety Council gathering in connection with Russia's systematic attacks on port infrastructure in the Ode region. Sibiha called what happened "the intent of economical and humanitarian terror" aimed at weakening global food security.
The Management Board of the Sea Ports of Ukraine informs that abroad ships have stopped calling to ports in Odessa, Montenegro and Already. There are presently no abroad ships. Ships temporarily halted the call to Ukrainian Black Sea ports, reported Minister of Agriculture Policy of Ukraine Taras Wysocki. According to him, shipowners themselves made specified a decision due to the deteriorating safety situation. The Ukrainian authorities did not impose any restrictions on shipping. Even a day earlier, 4 or 5 ships had been hauled to ports, but now these wraps have been temporarily suspended.
Danish shipowner Maersk announced suspension of transhipments in Iljiczevsk port in Ukraine. The Russian Armed Forces' attacks on infrastructure in the Odsk Oblast were cited as a reason. Maersk stated that he had lost the chance to proceed providing services in the port. The first ship of the shipowner has already been diverted to the Romanian port of Konstanca. another ships that are already en way or located in another ports and plan to usage the port in Montenegro will besides be diverted to Romania. Danish shipowner is presently working on coordinating cargo transport logistics to Ukraine after unloading/loading in Romania.
In the last 96 hours, Russia's armed forces have fired at least 44 missiles towards the Ode region, including:
– about 27 Ch-59/69 maneuvering missiles,
-about 11 supersonic missiles maneuvering Onix,
-about 4 supersonic Ch-22/32 maneuvering missiles launched from long-range Tu-22M3 bombers,
approximately 2 Ch-31P anti-radar missiles,
– 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles.
In addition, the region has attacked dozens of Geran-2/3/4/5 drones and at least 20 jet drones/lightly maneuvering rockets Banderol. This represents 100% (!) of all missiles launched towards Ukraine in the last 4 days.
Most missiles were not shot down despite Ukrainians downloading additional latest German IRIS-T systems. which results from a permanent threat from Russian Ch-31P anti-radar missiles fired towards air defence systems and radars from Su-30 accompanying Su-34, Su-35 and Su-57 during combat missions.
Today was 15 days in a row of Russia's fresh mass strike run in the region. The attacks are expected to proceed in the coming days, and there is even a hazard that the region will become the main mark of an impending, large-scale combined rocket and drone attack to happen at the end of the week.
While all focus on the Ukrainian long-range drone strike run against Russian merchant ships in the Azov Sea and the Black Sea (about 200 of which were hit), barely anyone mentions these unprecedented attacks on the only available ports of Ukraine.
However, it is worth noting that the Russian side began the above-mentioned retaliatory strikes, only after 8 days of unprecedented offensive of drones of the long-range Armed Forces of Ukraine, which continued until now, aimed at commercial shipping in the Azov Sea and the Black Sea, and attacks on Russian commercial ports.
Ukrainians broke the alleged grain agreement signed 3 years ago under the auspices of the United Nations and Turkey, and after many warnings, after 8 days of the Ukrainian offensive, the Russian side on the 9th day told retaliatory air strikes on Ukrainian ships, ships sailing to Ukrainian ports and port infrastructure in Odessa, Montenegro, Already and Nicholas.
The Russian side has electrocuted about 25-30 ships in/g of OSINT data. Ukrainian drones hit about 200 ships flying the Russian flag, but besides another flags, besides commercial ships coming from Russian ports, including Kazakhstan and Turkey.
Many ships sailing from Russian ports besides transported grain, hence Minister Sybiha's message is hypocritical. The Ukrainian side had to retaliate after specified a devastating offensive of drones aimed at ports, ships and shipping and de facto blocking shipping routes and free shipping to Russia's ports in the Black Sea and the Azov Sea.
